I was born and raised in Asheboro. This is my 17th year in education. I have taught both second and third grade. I graduated from Western Carolina University. In December I will graduate with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. In 2003 I earned National Board Certification. Last year I was fortunate enough to be part of Southmont's 100% Club in Math.
I have been married for almost 13 years to Luke. We have two children Jake, age 8 and Kara, age 5. We have two cats Kix and Baby. Our family stays very busy. We enjoy doing lots of things together. Most recently we have started camping. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
