FISH Philosophy

We will begin our year building a classroom community. We will spend time talking about and practicing the FISH philosophy.

The four practices of FISH are:

1.  Be There! This means focusing on what is going on at the time, whether it be the teacher teaching or a friend talking.

2.  Make Their Day! Find ways to make things better for the people around you. Look for ways to encourage and help others, not for something in return, but just because!

3.  Play! We will find times in our day to stop and do some "play" activities that revive our brains. "Play" is a mindset.

4.  Choose your Attitude! You are responsible for how you react to what is happening around you. Your choice impacts everyone. Is your attitude helping???
